色彩感にあふれている
デビュー１１周年を迎えた“盲目のピアニスト”辻井伸行さん。彼の演奏は“色彩感にあふれている”と評されます。その要因の一つが、母・いつ子さんの関わり方にあったそうです。
息子さんは盲目――そう告げられた母は育児書を読みあさりました。だが、そこには健常者の“見える世界”に適応させようとする記述ばかり。失望しかけたとき、知人の視覚障がい者から言われました。「生まれながらに『見えない』世界に生きる人にはその世界観があります」と。
